Started as recently as January 2001, by Keith
Ogden, IT PC Services was set up to give people of all ages, the
opportunity to be involved in the fast growing pace of information
technology and the way it has become part of every day living.
According to a recent nationwide survey,
over 1 million people over the age of 50, are surfing the net. It does not
include the vast number under that age, or the amount of people who have
personal computers. There is still a massive demand (for both individual users and small
businesses), for basic
computer and internet training. Many people are still having to wait
to join local computer courses.
I have read both in the national press and seen on
television, that one of the major problems when a person first
buys a computer, is, they spend forever in trying to get through to
technical help lines, at a cost from 50p to £1 an minute, or have a fixed
time, then whatever the outcome, the call finishes!
